The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, led a delegation of Information Commissioners from APC governed States on an inspection visit to Borno State as part of the Progressive Governors Forum’s quarterly meeting. The visit, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed to promote transparency, inter state collaboration, and effective communication of government achievements across the federation.
During the tour, the delegation inspected major infrastructure and social projects that underscore the partnership between the federal and Borno State governments in rebuilding and modernizing the North East. Among the key sites visited were the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Secondary School in Mafoni, one of 104 new schools built after the September 2024 floods, the Herwa EV Mega Charging Station supported by the North East Development Commission, and the Borno Express Terminus Flyover along the Kano Jos (Airport) Road, which connects to the new General Muhammadu Buhari International Airport still under construction.
The inspection highlighted the APC led government’s commitment to education, innovation, infrastructure, and regional inclusion. It also demonstrated how coordinated federal and state initiatives are driving sustainable development and delivering on President Tinubu’s vision of balanced growth and renewed hope for all Nigerians.
