Barely a week after the signing of the Cape Town Convention (CTC) Practice Directions, Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to enhancing the operating environment for Nigeria’s airlines. Speaking during a Tuesday meeting with aviation stakeholders under the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) at the Presidential Villa, Shettima praised last Thursday’s signing of the CTC Practice Directions as a significant step forward for business ease in the aviation industry.

The meeting, aimed at addressing Foreign Exchange issues and resolving payment backlogs with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Hajj Commission, and AON, highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to support and improve the aviation sector.
