President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Mr. Tolu Obamuroh, a distinguished Nigerian legal practitioner, on his elevation to the Partnership of White & Case LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms headquartered in New York.
Mr. Obamuroh, who will assume his new role as Partner in the firm’s International Arbitration Practice in Paris effective January 1, 2026, is the only Nigerian qualified lawyer among this year’s global partner class. He also becomes the sole new partner in the Paris office, one of the firm’s 46 offices worldwide.
Recognized for his expertise in cross border disputes within the energy and infrastructure sectors, Mr. Obamuroh has represented sovereigns and major corporations in complex international cases. Under the supervision of the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, he continues to serve as a trusted adviser to the Government of Nigeria in several international legal matters.
President Tinubu described the achievement as a proud reflection of Nigerian excellence, resilience, and global competence. He said Mr. Obamuroh’s success exemplifies the nation’s new generation of professionals who continue to shine on the world stage. The President further noted that his elevation symbolizes the Renewed Hope vision, a Nigeria whose citizens lead with merit, integrity, and global impact.
President Tinubu extended his warm felicitations to Mr. Obamuroh’s family, friends, colleagues, and the wider legal community, urging young Nigerians to draw inspiration from his story as proof that dedication and discipline can propel them to global leadership and success.
