The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has seized 25.5 kilograms of cocaine aboard the Brazilian-owned vessel MV San Anthonio at Apapa Port. The drugs, packed in five bags containing 24 slabs, were discovered during an intelligence-led inspection.
The vessel, which had visited ports in Brazil, Honduras, and Guatemala, has been detained, and the seized cocaine handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation.
Customs officials described the interception as part of a zero-tolerance approach to illegal trade and praised the cooperation between customs and law enforcement agencies in curbing drug trafficking. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
