NAHCO’s Air-Cargo Investments Boost Nigeria’s Non-Oil Exports

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) is strengthening Nigeria’s non-oil export drive through major investments in air-cargo infrastructure, including its newly launched Export Processing and Packaging Centre (NEPPC).

Opened in July 2025, the NEPPC serves as a one-stop hub for processing, packaging, and regulatory clearance of export goods especially perishables. The facility is helping exporters, particularly SMEs, meet international standards faster and more efficiently.

Nigeria’s shift toward non-oil activity continues to deepen, with the sector contributing 96.6% of national output in Q3 2025.

NAHCO’s cargo push is also reflected in its financials. For the nine months ending September 2025, the company recorded:

40.7% revenue growth,

46.6% rise in net profit,

earnings per share increasing from N4.71 to N6.91.

To support the export surge, NAHCO recently deployed new high-loaders and other ground support equipment across airports.

Industry analysts say the company’s investments are improving Nigeria’s competitiveness in global perishable exports and aligning with the nation’s goal to diversify away from oil. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
