President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Mr Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, on his appointment to the Royal Victorian Order by His Majesty King Charles III.

Mr Edun was appointed as a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) in recognition of his longstanding contributions to The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a global youth development programme that helps young people build character, skills, and leadership. In Nigeria, thousands of young people currently benefit from the programme.

President Tinubu described the honour as a testament to Mr Edun’s dedication and pivotal role in his cabinet. He noted that the recognition aligns with his administration’s focus on youth empowerment, national opportunity, and renewal.

The President praised Mr Edun’s professionalism and commitment and reiterated his administration’s dedication to nurturing Nigeria’s youth as leaders of today and tomorrow.
