Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have rescued two kidnapped pastors and arrested three suspects in a security operation carried out in Niger State.
The rescue followed intelligence-led efforts by the DSS, which led operatives to the hideout of the kidnappers. The victims were freed unharmed and have since been reunited with their families, according to security sources.
During the operation, three suspects were apprehended and are currently in custody, while efforts are ongoing to track down other members of the criminal network. Items linked to the kidnapping operation were also recovered.
The DSS reaffirmed its commitment to tackling kidnapping and other criminal activities, warning that perpetrators would be relentlessly pursued and brought to justice as part of ongoing efforts to improve internal security across the country.
