The Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), led by Director-General and CEO Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, held a strategic engagement with the Federal Ministry of Power at the Ministry’s headquarters. The meeting with Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, focused on strengthening collaboration and aligning national energy priorities.

Discussions centered on enhancing cooperation on renewable energy and integrating ECN’s research outputs into national power infrastructure through joint implementation and shared resources. Chief Adelabu reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to sustained partnerships, particularly in hydroelectric power generation and other strategic energy initiatives critical to transforming Nigeria’s power sector.

During the engagement, ECN updated the Minister on key programmes, including the Renewed Hope Solarization Programme, the National Energy Master Plan, and the National Energy Policy, reaffirming its commitment to delivering tangible results that advance Nigeria’s energy sector and national development goals.
