The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to remove the names of Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola from its official portal for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a press release issued today, the commission stated that the decision follows preservatory orders issued by the Court of Appeal in a case involving Senator David Mark and other parties.

INEC further disclosed that it has suspended recognition of the current ADC leadership structure pending the final determination of the court case.

The statement, signed by National Commissioner Mohammed Kudu Haruna, who chairs the Information and Voter Education Committee, emphasized that the commission’s action is in compliance with judicial directives.

According to INEC, the move is necessary to maintain neutrality and uphold the rule of law while the legal dispute over the party’s leadership is being resolved.
