The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed support for the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) decision to de-recognize the factional leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). APC claimed that the faction led by former Senate President David Mark had hijacked the party.
INEC, on Wednesday, announced that it would no longer recognize correspondence from either the Mark-led or Nafiu Bala Gombe-led factions of the ADC. This decision follows the commission’s review of the March 12 judgment by the Court of Appeal.
The ruling is expected to have significant implications for the party’s internal governance and its participation in upcoming elections, as both factions seek to assert control and legitimacy.
