The Supreme Court has directed former Senate President, David Mark, and other parties involved in the leadership dispute within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to return to the Federal High Court for the hearing and determination of all issues arising from the case.
The apex court also voided the earlier order maintaining the status quo in the matter, effectively resetting the case for fresh consideration at the trial court level.
The decision means the substantive issues surrounding the ADC leadership tussle will now be fully addressed by the Federal High Court, which has been tasked to hear and determine the dispute in accordance with the law.
Further details are expected as proceedings continue at the trial court.
