Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District, Shehu Kaka Lawan, has emerged as the sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The affirmation exercise was conducted by the Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee for Borno State, Prophet Jones, in the presence of party leaders, stakeholders, delegates, and supporters from across the Borno Central Senatorial Zone.

Speaking after the exercise, party officials described the process as peaceful and transparent, reaffirming the APC’s commitment to internal democracy and unity ahead of the 2027 polls.

The emergence of Senator Shehu Kaka Lawan further strengthens the APC’s preparations for the forthcoming elections in Borno State, where the party continues to maintain strong political influence.
