
Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Sweden for a two-day working visit aimed at boosting trade and bilateral relations between Nigeria and Sweden. The visit, initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is focused on enhancing cooperation in key sectors such as information and communication technology (ICT), digitalisation, education, sustainable transport, agriculture, and mining.

Shettima is accompanied by Plateau State Governor Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other heads of government agencies and parastatals. During the visit, the Vice President will engage in high-level discussions with key Swedish government officials, including Crown Princess Victoria and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

The meetings will explore avenues for strengthening collaboration between the two nations in areas critical to Nigeria’s economic growth and sustainable development. The Vice President’s visit underscores Nigeria’s commitment to forging stronger international partnerships in technology, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
Vice President Shettima is expected to return to Nigeria on Saturday.
