The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State has affirmed Governor Dikko Umaru Radda as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The affirmation exercise, held in Katsina on Thursday, was supervised by officials from the APC national headquarters and witnessed the participation of delegates from the 34 local government areas of the state.

Chairman of the APC Electoral Committee, Dr. Yakubu Maccido, declared Governor Radda as the party’s consensus candidate following a voice vote by delegates. Party leaders described the process as peaceful, transparent, and a reflection of unity within the Katsina APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
