The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has said that state governments across Nigeria are experiencing improved fiscal capacity as a result of policies introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to Onanuga, the reforms implemented by the administration have significantly increased revenues available to states, enabling them to undertake development projects and deliver critical services to their citizens.

He noted that several states, including Kaduna, Kebbi, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Abia, are now executing projects and programmes that would have been difficult to finance in previous years.

Onanuga argued that the increased allocations and revenues accruing to states have strengthened their ability to invest in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other sectors that directly impact the lives of residents.

He maintained that the administration’s economic policies are providing state governments with greater financial resources to pursue development initiatives and improve governance outcomes.

The presidential aide described the development as one of the key outcomes of the Tinubu administration’s reform agenda, emphasizing that the benefits are being felt across different regions of the country.
