FG Approves Road Projects Worth ₦3.94 Trillion Across Multiple States

The Federal Government has approved road infrastructure projects valued at over ₦3.94 trillion covering various states across the country under its ongoing national development programme.

The approvals were granted at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting and include 23 road projects spread across Adamawa, Taraba, Ebonyi, Kwara, Cross River, Kogi, Lagos, Niger, Oyo, and Plateau States, with a combined cost of ₦2.078 trillion.

The government also approved a 409-kilometre dual carriageway project in Niger State valued at ₦1.8325 trillion, to be executed by the Dangote Group under the tax credit scheme using reinforced concrete technology.

In addition, a 32.2-kilometre road project in Gashua, Yobe State, was approved at ₦15 billion, alongside the second phase of the Yola–Fufore–Gurin Road in Adamawa State, which includes an additional 20 kilometres valued at ₦15.246 billion.

The FEC also approved arrangements for the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, covering operation and maintenance under a concession framework, as well as the reconstruction of failed sections of the Ibadan approach using reinforced concrete.

The government says the projects are part of efforts to improve national road connectivity, boost economic activity, and enhance transportation infrastructure across key regions of the country.
