President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, at the State House in Abuja.

The meeting brought together the Nigerian leader and the senior Vatican diplomat as part of ongoing engagements between Nigeria and the Holy See.

Archbishop Gallagher, who oversees the Vatican’s diplomatic relations with countries and international organisations, was welcomed by President Tinubu during the visit to the Presidential Villa.

The visit underscores the cordial relationship between Nigeria and the Holy See, as both sides continue to strengthen cooperation on issues of mutual interest, including peacebuilding, interfaith dialogue, humanitarian concerns, and global development.

The meeting forms part of the Vatican envoy’s engagements with Nigerian authorities and stakeholders during his visit to the country.
