The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said it will not challenge the outcome of the June 20, 2026 Ekiti State governorship election before the Election Petition Tribunal.

The party announced its decision after an expanded meeting of its State Executive Council in Ado Ekiti, stating that it had chosen to move forward rather than engage in a prolonged legal battle over the election.

In a communiqué signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Olugboyega Aribisogan, the ADC said although it had reservations about certain aspects of the electoral process, it believed that rebuilding the party and strengthening its structures would better serve its members and the people of Ekiti State.

The party said its immediate priority is to consolidate its grassroots support, mobilise members, and reposition itself for a stronger outing in the 2027 general elections.

The ADC also urged its supporters to remain calm, united, and committed to democratic principles, stressing that it would continue to play a constructive opposition role in the state. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
