Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, has called on governments, civil society organisations (CSOs), the media, development partners and citizens across Africa to strengthen collaboration in the fight against corruption.
Speaking at an international anti-corruption conference, the ICPC Chairman said corruption cannot be tackled by anti-graft agencies alone, stressing that collective action and stronger partnerships are essential to promoting transparency, accountability and good governance across the continent.
Aliyu urged stakeholders to work together in building stronger integrity systems capable of addressing corruption, illicit financial flows and governance challenges affecting sustainable development in Africa.
He emphasised that citizens, public institutions, the private sector, faith-based organisations, academia and the media all have critical roles to play in advancing accountability and restoring public trust in governance.
The ICPC Chairman also called for greater innovation, technology-driven collaboration and sustained public engagement to strengthen anti-corruption efforts and promote integrity across the continent.
