



National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has received a high-level delegation from the United States led by the new Assistant Secretary for African Affairs, Frank Garcia, during his first official visit to Nigeria since assuming office.
The meeting focused on strengthening the longstanding partnership between Nigeria and the United States, with both sides reviewing progress made under the Nigeria–US Joint Working Group.
Ribadu said the engagement reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to deepening dialogue, expanding strategic cooperation and advancing shared security priorities.
The National Security Adviser noted that the discussions formed part of ongoing efforts to consolidate the gains of the bilateral relationship and enhance collaboration in addressing regional and global security challenges.
He expressed confidence that continued engagement between both countries would further strengthen cooperation in the areas of security, stability and mutual development.
