

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, has paid a courtesy visit to Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Federal Government and subnational governments on trade and economic development.
The minister said the visit underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to deepening engagement with states to promote inclusive economic growth and maximise the benefits of continental trade.
Speaking after the meeting, Dr. Oduwole, who also serves as Chair of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Council of Ministers for Trade, reaffirmed her commitment to advancing inclusive trade across Africa while strengthening partnerships with state governments.
She noted that enhanced collaboration between the Federal Government and subnational administrations is essential to expanding investment opportunities, boosting industrial development and positioning Nigerian states to benefit from opportunities under the AfCFTA framework.
