A court has adjourned the hearing of a suit challenging the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to June 8, following proceedings in the ongoing legal dispute over the party’s internal leadership structure.
The case, which has attracted attention from party stakeholders, centres on questions surrounding the legitimacy and recognition of the current leadership of the ADC. The plaintiffs are seeking judicial intervention to determine the rightful leadership of the party.
At the resumed hearing, the court considered preliminary issues before deciding to shift further proceedings to a later date, allowing all parties involved to adequately prepare their legal arguments.
The matter is expected to continue on June 8, when the court will resume hearing submissions from both sides.
