The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has released a cumulative three-month allocation to Nigeria’s 36 states for the period of January to March 2026, with Lagos State emerging as the highest beneficiary.
According to the breakdown, Lagos State received ₦200.21 billion, followed by Delta State with ₦143.41 billion, Rivers State with ₦123.96 billion, Bayelsa with ₦114.48 billion, and Akwa Ibom with ₦109.76 billion, placing them among the top five recipients for the period.
Other major allocations include Kano State with ₦75.04 billion, Oyo with ₦68.98 billion, Jigawa with ₦55.74 billion, Ondo with ₦53.50 billion, Katsina with ₦52.58 billion, and Borno with ₦52.38 billion. States such as Anambra, Benue, Imo, Adamawa, Abia, Edo, Kebbi, and Niger also recorded allocations ranging between ₦47 billion and ₦52 billion.
At the lower end of the distribution, Cross River State received ₦35.15 billion, Ogun ₦36.14 billion, Gombe ₦37.90 billion, Ebonyi ₦39.46 billion, Osun ₦40.53 billion, and Ekiti State ₦17.12 billion, which was the least in the period under review.
The FAAC allocations reflect continued monthly revenue sharing among the federal, state, and local governments, driven largely by oil receipts, non-oil revenue, and other statutory inflows.
