Kano Ex-Deputy Governor Aminu Gwarzo Resigns from ADC, Cites Political Realignment

A former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Gwarzo, has resigned his membership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing changes in the political landscape.

Gwarzo confirmed his resignation in a letter dated May 1, 2026, which was addressed to the party chairman in Gwarzo Local Government Area of the state.

In the letter, he stated that his decision to exit the party takes immediate effect.

His departure comes amid ongoing political realignments within parties in Kano State and across the country ahead of future electoral cycles.
