Wike-Led PDP Faction Fixes Nomination Form Fees, Releases 2026 Primary Election Timetable

A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with Nyesom Wike has announced the sale of nomination forms and timetable for its 2026 primary elections.

According to the schedule released, the sale of forms will commence on Monday, April 27, 2026, and close on Monday, May 4, 2026.

The faction also fixed nomination form fees across various elective positions. The presidential form is pegged at ₦51 million, while the governorship form costs ₦21 million. For legislative positions, aspirants for the Senate are to pay ₦6 million, House of Representatives ₦4 million, and State House of Assembly ₦3 million.

The timetable indicates that the presidential primary election will hold between Sunday, May 17, and Monday, May 18, 2026.

Other primaries are scheduled as follows:

House of Representatives: Thursday, May 21, 2026 Senate: Saturday, May 23, 2026 State House of Assembly: Monday, May 25, 2026 Governorship: Wednesday, May 27, 2026

The development comes amid ongoing internal divisions within the PDP, with different factions taking steps to organise parallel political activities ahead of the 2026 election cycle.
