
Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to expanding access to quality education through the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship in Bama, Borno State. He described the initiative as a significant step toward strengthening educational and economic development in the North-East.
Zulum gave the commendation on Thursday during a visit to the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, in Abuja, where he reacted to the recent appointment of principal officers for the new institution. He noted that the swift constitution of the university’s leadership reflects the administration’s determination to fast-track educational development across the region.
The governor also praised the Minister of Education for his role in facilitating the appointments, saying his support had been instrumental in the smooth take-off process of the university. He further assured that the Borno State Government would provide full cooperation and necessary support to ensure the institution commences academic activities without delay.
The newly appointed principal officers of the university include Professor Tijjani Kalli as Vice Chancellor, Abba Kaka as Registrar, Bashir Subaru as Bursar, and Aishatu Halilu as Librarian.
