Bauchi Governor Reshuffles Cabinet, Removes Five Commissioners

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved a cabinet reshuffle, relieving five commissioners of their duties.

In a statement by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the decision was described as a strategic move to enhance governance and improve service delivery in the state.

“This step underscores the administration’s dedication to infusing fresh ideas and energy into governance, aligning with the Governor’s vision of strengthening the government’s machinery and effectively addressing emerging challenges,” the statement read.

The affected commissioners are:

Dr. Jamila Dahiru, Commissioner of Education.

Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu, Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs.

Comrade Usman Danturaki, Commissioner of Information and Communication.

Professor Simon Madugu Yalams, Commissioner of Agriculture.

Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza, Commissioner of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation.

Governor Mohammed expressed his appreciation to the outgoing commissioners, acknowledging their significant contributions to the state’s development. He commended their dedication and wished them success in their future endeavors.

In a related development, the Governor has submitted the names of eight new nominees to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for security clearance and confirmation. The nominees are:

1. Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde – Toro Local Government.

2. Abdullahi Mohammed – Misau Local Government.

3. Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi – Dass Local Government.

4. Usman Usman Shehu – Shira Local Government.

5. Iliyasu Aliyu Gital – Tafawa Balewa Local Government.

6. Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah – Tafawa Balewa Local Government.

7. Hon. Adamu Babayo Gabarin – Darazo Local Government.

8. Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam – Toro Local Government.

Governor Mohammed assured the people of Bauchi State that the reshuffle is part of a routine effort to enhance the administration’s efficiency and reaffirmed his commitment to the state’s continued progress and development.
