Presidential Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, has dismissed claims that former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi poses a major political threat to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during an interview, Dare said the Tinubu administration is focused on governance and delivering results, insisting that its performance provides a strong foundation ahead of future political contests.
According to him, while Obi may have been viewed as a significant challenger in the past, the current administration’s achievements and policy initiatives have altered the political landscape.
Dare maintained that the government remains confident in its record, particularly in addressing key national challenges and implementing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He further expressed confidence that Peter Obi would not be able to repeat his 2023 electoral success in Lagos State against President Tinubu in future elections.
The remarks come amid ongoing political debates and early discussions surrounding alignments and expectations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
