A tragic fire in Ondo City, the headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area, claimed the lives of a middle-aged woman and her two children on Sunday night.

The incident occurred at their residence on Rainbow Street, Lipakala Junction, near Adeyemi Road. A family source, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that the victims were burnt beyond recognition as the fire engulfed the entire building for several hours.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, CSP Funmilayo Odunlami, described it as unfortunate. She added that the remains of the victims have been deposited in a hospital morgue in the city.
