Auxano Solar, a leading Nigerian solar energy company, has achieved a significant milestone with the receipt of two prestigious international certifications for its photovoltaic (PV) modules. The company has been awarded the IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 certifications by TÜV Rheinland, a globally recognized testing and certification body.

The certifications confirm that Auxano Solar’s panels meet rigorous international standards for safety, performance, and durability. This achievement highlights the company’s dedication to quality and innovation in the solar energy sector, particularly within the clean energy space.

In a statement, Chuks Umezulora, Chief Executive Officer of Auxano Solar, expressed pride in the firm’s accomplishment, calling it a key step in the company’s journey toward establishing trust in locally produced solar panels in Nigeria. He said, “Auxano Solar is proud to be the first indigenous manufacturer to receive TÜV certification for its solar panels. This certification marks a significant milestone in building trust in locally produced panels in Nigeria. We aspire for Nigerian solar panels to be as highly regarded as Nigerian cables.”

The firm’s success is partly attributed to the venture-building support from the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), in collaboration with the All On Hub. Umezulora also emphasized the impact the certifications will have on the company’s market presence and the local solar energy value chain. He added, “This accomplishment will not only enhance our market presence but also foster the development of the local solar energy value chain, making solar power more accessible and affordable for Nigerians.”

Auxano Solar’s certifications also position the company to contribute to high-impact energy access initiatives across Africa. Umezulora highlighted key programs such as the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) and the Distributed Access through Renewable Energy Scale-up (DARES) program, which are supported by the World Bank, African Development Bank (AfDB), GEAPP, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL). These initiatives aim to electrify 300 million people across Africa by 2030.

Caroline Eboumbou, CEO of All On, commended the certifications, noting that they will strengthen the firm’s operational and technical capabilities, furthering their mission to deliver high-quality solar solutions across Nigeria and beyond.
