The Nigeria Police Force has announced that officers will commence full enforcement of the vehicle tinted glass permit beginning August 12, 2025.

From that date, motorists driving vehicles with tinted glass without a valid permit risk arrest, fines, or having their vehicles impounded. The move is part of efforts to improve road security and curb criminal activities often associated with the use of unauthorized tinted windows.

Police authorities have urged vehicle owners to obtain the necessary permits before the enforcement date to avoid penalties.
