The leadership of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) has issued a strong response to comments made by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, describing his remarks about the late Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola as “reckless, ignorant, and uninformed.” Fatoyinbo had drawn criticism after allegedly mocking the revered revivalist for living in poverty and ridiculing his children.

In a statement, CAC leaders stressed that Apostle Babalola’s life of sacrifice, humility, and service to God remains an inspiration to millions, and his legacy cannot be diminished by derogatory remarks. They urged pastors and Christian leaders to exercise restraint, respect spiritual heritage, and avoid making disparaging statements about those who laid the foundations of the faith in Nigeria.

The church further warned that public ridicule of past spiritual icons undermines unity within the body of Christ and distracts from the mission of preaching the gospel. They reaffirmed their commitment to defending the honor of Apostle Babalola and preserving the values he stood for.
