England manager Thomas Tuchel has apologised for describing elements of Jude Bellingham’s behaviour on the pitch as “repulsive” during a radio interview in June.

“I am sorry for the headlines I created,” Tuchel said, explaining that he had used the word unintentionally. He noted that his remarks were not meant as a personal attack on the Real Madrid midfielder but rather a poor choice of wording during the conversation.

The apology comes after criticism from fans and pundits, with Tuchel now emphasising his respect for Bellingham’s talent, professionalism, and importance to the England team.
