
Lagos, Nigeria – British-Nigerian journalist, The London Bureau Chief of Channel TV and CEO of J.O. Comms, Juliana Olayinka, has successfully hosted the 2nd edition of the Easy Comms Class – Back to School Drive at Awori Junior Model College, Ojo, Lagos State.

The initiative, designed to inspire and support students as they prepare for a new academic year, brought together students, educators, volunteers, and community stakeholders for a day of learning, motivation, and celebration.

The event was attended by the school’s Principal, Mr. Adebayo A. S., Vice Principals, senior teachers, members of the Nigeria Police Force, private security, as well as the J.O. Comms team. In his opening remarks, Principal Adebayo warmly welcomed Olayinka, describing her presence as a blessing. He spoke on the theme of “Leadership”, urging students to embrace responsibility and develop qualities that would make them better leaders in the future.

Juliana Olayinka, in her keynote address, shared her personal journey, emphasizing the importance of discipline, obedience, and self-representation. She encouraged the students never to give up on their dreams, introducing the motivational theme of the day: “If Juliana Can Do It, You Can Do It.” Students enthusiastically echoed the phrase, creating an atmosphere of empowerment.

The program featured educational activities including quizzes and debates, where students showcased their knowledge and critical thinking skills. Winners received prizes, while all participants were gifted school bags, books, pens, mathematical sets, and other educational items. Volunteers were also recognized with awards of participation.

Adding to the excitement, the day was filled with food, drinks, snacks, and music. UAC Foods supported the initiative by providing 15 cartons of drinks and 10 cartons of Gala, further enhancing the lively atmosphere.
The highlight of the event came when an award of recognition was presented to Awori Junior Model College. Olayinka, visibly moved, shed tears of joy as she reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the students, telling them they now have “a big sister” who will always stand by them.

In closing, Principal Adebayo expressed profound gratitude to Juliana Olayinka, praying for her continued success and declaring the event as the beginning of even greater achievements for both the school and the initiative.
