At the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) in Algeria, former President Olusegun Obasanjo delivered a strong message: Africa must unite to achieve the vision of The Africa We Want.
He stressed that rhetoric is no longer enough, insisting that only concrete action, supported by political will, can drive genuine integration and sustainable development across the continent.
Echoing his position, President of Afreximbank, Benedict Oramah, emphasized that Africa cannot expand trade without dismantling the barriers that continue to constrain businesses.
Key recommendations emerging from IATF 2025 include harmonizing policies, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and ensuring that the continent is not only prepared to trade but also positioned to thrive in the global economy.
