Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has urged Nigerians to refrain from blaming the government for every train accident, stressing that such incidents are not unique to the country.
Omokri, who shared his experience of being delayed by over an hour while travelling abroad due to a train collision with a car, noted that railway accidents occur even in nations with advanced infrastructure such as Canada, the United States, and across Europe.
According to him, Nigerians are often quick to fault government agencies like the Nigerian Railway Corporation whenever disruptions occur, without considering that accidents can happen anywhere.
He further encouraged citizens to recognize and acknowledge the positive aspects of the nation, adding that projecting Nigeria positively is just as important as pointing out its challenges.
