
Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday hosted the President of Namibia, Nandi-Ndaitwah, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, where both leaders engaged in high-level bilateral talks.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah, who assumed office on March 21, 2025, commended Nigerian diplomats for their invaluable contributions to the growth and stability of her government and country. She also announced her plans to pay an official visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Nigeria.
In his remarks, Vice President Shettima reaffirmed Nigeria’s strong commitment to strengthening ties with Namibia. He emphasized that both nations share common aspirations as Africans and stressed the need to elevate the Nigeria–Namibia relationship to a higher level for mutual benefit.
