NASENI Makes History as First African Government Agency Admitted into World Association of Young Scientists

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has achieved a major milestone by becoming the first African government agency to be officially admitted into the World Association of Young Scientists (WAYS).

The recognition was confirmed during the Association’s annual plenary session, which brought together national science institutions, research bodies, and young innovators from more than 60 countries across the world.

This historic admission marks a new chapter for Nigeria in the global science community, highlighting the country’s growing commitment to technological advancement and youth empowerment through research and innovation.

With this membership, NASENI joins a select group of international institutions promoting youth driven scientific innovation, cross border research partnerships, and sustainable technology development, further strengthening Nigeria’s position on the global innovation map.
