

The Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria (FFDGN) has identified key strategies to boost the nation’s economy, focusing on productivity, industrial growth, and innovation.
Speaking at the 4th Annual National Conference of the Forum, members emphasized the urgent need to enhance Nigeria’s productive capacity as a foundation for national growth and self-reliance.
The conference, which brought together former deputy governors, policymakers, and development experts, examined the critical role of leadership, innovation, and industry in effective policy implementation aimed at sustaining industrial development.
Participants also underscored the importance of reviving local industries through targeted policies, improved access to finance, and infrastructure development. They stressed that such measures would strengthen domestic manufacturing and promote greater patronage of Nigerian-made products and brands.
In addition, the forum highlighted the need to prioritize technology adoption, innovation, and human capacity development as essential drivers of socio-economic advancement in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration.
