Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has ruled that the court has full jurisdiction to preside over the terrorism case involving the detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
The judge noted that the issue of Kanu’s alleged illegal extradition or rendition from Kenya has already been settled by the Supreme Court, which held that such claims do not nullify the charges brought against him. Relying on that precedent, Justice Omotosho ruled against Kanu on the matter, affirming that the current trial can proceed.
The judgment delivery is ongoing, with more determinations expected as the court continues to address the remaining issues.
