
The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended three suspects allegedly involved in a violent cattle rustling incident at a ranch in Okeigbo.
According to the police, the suspects launched a “commando-style” raid on the ranch, stealing cattle and attacking the ranch owner, Abdullahi, and his son with machetes when they attempted to resist.
The suspects were arrested following intelligence-led operations, during which officers recovered the stolen cattle, the weapons used in the attack, and the vehicle and motorcycle used for the getaway.
Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal praised the swift action of the officers and assured residents of continued vigilance to enhance security across the state, particularly during the festive season.
