The Federal Government of Nigeria has opened applications for the 2026 Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Overseas Scholarship Scheme for postgraduate students. The scholarships are available for Master’s and PhD programs in disciplines related to the oil and gas sector at selected universities in the UK, Germany, France, and Malaysia.

The award covers tuition fees, return airfare, accommodation, living allowances, and health insurance, with PhD candidates in the UK offered a split‑site research model involving both Nigerian and UK institutions. The initiative aims to develop indigenous expertise in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

Interested candidates can apply online via the PTDF portal before the 27th February 2026 deadline.
