At Nigeria House in Davos, the Director General of the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC), Barr. Omotenioye Majekodunmi, participated in a fireside chat on financing the energy transition. She was joined by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, to discuss strategies for mobilising investment for sustainable energy projects.

The discussion highlighted the need for stronger policy alignment and certainty to attract investors. Both speakers stressed that capital responds not only to potential returns but also to trust in governance and regulatory frameworks.

Participants emphasised that Africa’s energy transition depends on predictable policies and bankable projects to unlock climate and energy finance at scale. They urged governments and stakeholders to prioritise transparency and coordination to accelerate investment in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.
