Vice President Kashim Shettima briefed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday on his participation at the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland, shortly before the President departed for a state visit to Türkiye.

The briefing focused on key outcomes of the forum, including high-level engagements with global leaders, investors and development partners, as well as discussions centered on Nigeria’s economic reforms, investment opportunities and global positioning.

Vice President Shettima highlighted Nigeria’s renewed appeal to international investors, noting that conversations at Davos reflected growing confidence in the country’s reform agenda and long-term economic prospects.

President Tinubu received the briefing as part of routine consultations ahead of his official engagements abroad. The state visit to Türkiye was aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in areas of trade, investment, defence cooperation and strategic diplomacy.

The engagement underscored ongoing coordination within the Presidency on international economic diplomacy and foreign policy priorities.
