



Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima has urged Nigerians to embrace tolerance and peaceful coexistence, stressing that the country’s citizens are united by a common heritage and can achieve greatness if they work together. He made the remarks on Wednesday during a visit to HRH Gbong Gwom Jos, Chairman of the Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, at his palace in Jos, Plateau State.
Shettima highlighted the role of traditional rulers as custodians of culture and peace, praising their efforts in maintaining harmony in society. He also commended the cordial relationship between the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, noting that their realignment would foster stability, peace, and development in the state.
The Vice President thanked the government and people of Plateau State for their warm reception, while Gbong Gwom Jos appealed for strengthened security and reconciliation across the country. Shettima was accompanied by the APC National Chairman, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, former Deputy Speaker Idris Wase, members of the Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, and other prominent sons of the state.
