Singer Alex Warren has shared a humorous insight into his close but unconventional relationship with his mentor, Ed Sheeran, revealing that his frequent emails may have finally gone unanswered.

The “Ordinary” hitmaker joked that Sheeran appears to have stopped replying due to the sheer volume of messages he sends. Warren disclosed that even a recent apologetic email — in which he promised to cut back on his constant correspondence as a New Year’s resolution — received no response.

Speaking exclusively with Erin Lim Rhodes during Live From E! Stream: Spotify Best New Artist Party 2026 on January 29, Warren recalled the message, which playfully read that he was sorry for emailing so much and intended to do less of it moving forward.

While clearly amused by the situation, the 25-year-old admitted he genuinely plans to keep his resolution, confessing that he tends to email Sheeran whenever even the smallest notable moment happens in his life.

Despite scaling back on messages to his mentor, Warren said he remains committed to supporting fellow artists. After learning of his nomination for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards, he reached out to congratulate other nominees, including Lola Young, Katseye, The Marías, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, and sombr, celebrating their shared achievement.
