



Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has declared that it is impossible to replace a performing President like Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the President’s bold and courageous reforms are already transforming Nigeria.
Governor Okpebholo made the declaration during the inauguration of Senatorial, Local Government Area and Youth Coordinators for President Tinubu’s 2027 re election.
The event was held at the Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub along Airport Road in Benin City.
Commending President Tinubu for reforms in critical sectors such as petroleum, security, education and the economy, the governor urged the people of Edo State to support the President’s return to Aso Rock for a second term.
The governor stated that he had promised President Tinubu 2.5 million votes from Edo State, adding that contributions from the party chairman and the women leader had raised the figure to 3.9 million votes, which he said the people of the state must deliver.
He expressed confidence that Edo citizens across all demographics, including youths and the elderly, are ready to mobilise massively in support of the President.
According to him, the campaign is not only about agenda but also about the capacity to mobilise, stressing that no one can surpass President Tinubu’s record in governance.
Governor Okpebholo further stated that with 30 APC governors across the country, President Tinubu’s re election bid is already strengthened, expressing optimism that victory in 2027 is assured.
He charged local government chairmen across the 18 local government areas of the state to erect at least 20 billboards each and ensure that the Renewed Hope message reaches grassroots communities, religious institutions, churches and mosques.
He also disclosed that religious groups would soon be inaugurated to further spread the campaign message.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa, pledged total loyalty to Governor Okpebholo and assured him of full support in delivering Edo State for President Tinubu in 2027.
Also speaking, the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady of Edo State, Edesili Okpebholo Anani, stated that women in the state are firmly behind the APC, noting that women constitute 51 per cent of the voting population.
The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Blessing Agbebaku, said the governor’s performance would further motivate massive mobilisation of votes for President Tinubu.
The Chairman of the APC in Edo State, Jarrett Tenebe, commended Governor Okpebholo’s developmental strides, describing his administration as one that is repositioning the state and improving the welfare of its residents.
He also praised the Edo State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Sylvester Aiggboboh, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver the required votes for the President.
In his welcome address, Aiggboboh applauded President Tinubu’s reforms, stating that they are attracting investment and renewing hope among Nigerians. He added that the benefits of fuel subsidy removal are beginning to reflect across the economy.
He explained that the objective of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is to promote inclusiveness, galvanise grassroots support and consolidate gains towards President Tinubu’s re election in 2027, urging members to remain loyal to the party and the nation.
The three senatorial leaders of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Joshua Uwagboe, Hon Odinose Okojie and Hon Abdul Lawani, expressed gratitude to Governor Okpebholo for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to take the campaign message to the grassroots to ensure President Tinubu’s re election.
