Tinubu Mourns with Attahiru Jega Over Wife’s Passing

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his condolences to Professor Attahiru Jega, Special Adviser on Livestock Development, following the death of his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jega.

Vice President Kashim Shettima conveyed the President’s sympathies when he attended the Janazah prayer for the deceased at the National Mosque in Abuja on Sunday.

In his message, President Tinubu described the late Hajiya Hadiza as a woman of uncommon grace and character, who served as a strong pillar of support to Professor Jega throughout his public life, including his tenure as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He also acknowledged her contributions to education and community development.

The President said he received news of her passing with a heavy heart, joining the family in mourning the loss and praying for Almighty God to grant her Aljannatul Firdaus. He also assured Professor Jega and his family of his support during this difficult time.
