The Federal Government has unveiled the 2025 National Health Facility Survey as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare system through data-driven reforms under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The survey, presented by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Abuja, is designed to provide critical data to guide policy decisions, improve access to healthcare services, enhance system performance, and promote accountability across the sector.
Speaking at the unveiling, the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Daju Kachollom, emphasised the importance of reliable data in driving sustainable healthcare improvements.
They noted that strengthened data systems would enable more targeted interventions, more efficient resource allocation, and measurable progress in key areas such as primary healthcare delivery, immunisation, maternal and child health, and health insurance coverage nationwide.
The initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to reforming the health sector by leveraging accurate data to achieve better outcomes for Nigerians.
