APC DISQUALIFIES 47 SENATORIAL ASPIRANTS ACROSS NIGERIA AHEAD OF PRIMARIES

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly not cleared a total of 47 senatorial aspirants across several states of the federation ahead of its forthcoming primaries.

The affected aspirants cut across multiple geopolitical zones, including Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Jigawa, Kebbi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Oyo, Taraba, Plateau, Rivers, Yobe, and Zamfara States.

In Adamawa State, Hon. Hamish Idris and Hon. Abdurman Kwacham (North Senatorial District) were among those not cleared.

In Anambra State, Chimzobam Kingsley Nnalue (North Senatorial District) was affected.

Bayelsa State recorded Donald Daunemigita (West Senatorial District), while in Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Sen. Ben Murray Bruce and Sen. Benson S. Agadaga were listed among those not cleared.

In Cross River State, Daniel Effiong Asuquo (South Senatorial District) and Oden Ibiang O. Ewa (Central Senatorial District) were affected.

Delta State saw Dr. Marian Nnamaka Ogoh-Ali (North Senatorial District) not cleared.

In the FCT, Sen. Usman J. Wowo and Abubakar Umar Abdullahi were affected.

Jigawa State had Adam Mouktar Mohammed (South/West Senatorial District) not cleared.

Kebbi State recorded Sen. Garba Musa Mai Doki (South Senatorial District).

Kwara State listed Kollo B. Jiya (North Senatorial District), Amb. Olutola John Onijala, Awolola Muritala, and Adeleke Emmanuel Gbenga (all South Senatorial District aspirants).

In Nasarawa State, several aspirants including Abdullahi Tanko Zubairu, Usman Muhammed Elegu, Alhaji Dr. Yusuf Moh’d Agabi, and Ari Ali Muhammed were not cleared across different districts.

Niger State had Muhammed Rabiu Sadiq, Hon. Muhammed Bello A., and Bello Bawa Bwari (Niger South Senatorial District) affected.

In Oyo State, Ademola Wasiu Alli, Ajimobi Wasiu Adegboyega, Mr. Kolapoboye Kola Daisi, Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen, Hon. Hameed Afeez Repete, and Amb. Pst. Akinremi Alade Bolaji were among those not cleared.

Taraba State recorded Bello Abdullahi Bodejo (Central Senatorial District).

Plateau State had Gyang Yaya Zi San, Napoleon Binkap Bah, and Usman Ephraim Gar across different senatorial zones.

In Rivers State, Oyukaye Flag Amachree, Chief Dr. Tamunobaabo Wemike Danagogo, Jack-Rich Tein T.S, Banigo Ipalibo, and Chief Barry Balera Mwara were affected.

Yobe State listed Hon. Hassan H. Kafayos (Yobe North Senatorial District).

Zamfara State recorded Sanusi Ibrahim Garachi, Aliyu Abubakar, Muhammad Bashir Maru, Hassan Muhammad Gusau (Central Senatorial District), Abubakar H. Moriiki, Bilyaminu Yusuf (North Senatorial District), and Isyaka Ajiya Anka (West Senatorial District) among those not cleared.

The development reflects ongoing internal screening processes within the party ahead of its senatorial primaries across the country.
